A powerful, slim-line 2-way floor-standing loudspeaker designed to integrate seamlessly within a smaller listening environment. This entry-level speaker in the series features a single AE-design anodised alloy cone bass/mid drive-unit, with the 25mm silk-coated fabric dome, high frequency unit. The bass/ mid range driver has a damped alignment within a single chamber, bass reflex enclosure using a high power flared port on the rear baffle. In addition to conventional passive driving the AE505 can be also bi-wired or bi-amped for optimum sound quality.
Derived from the renowned AE1 loudspeaker, the AE505 is a floor-stander designed with sonic advantages in bass extension, neutrality and speed, whilst providing a fine balance of subtlety and power.
