In differing from the 100 Series, the new 200 Series utilises metal cone bass /mid drive unit technology, as proven in AE's Reference Series, and in addition features high quality alloy dome tweeters. Unlike conventional paper or plastic cones, the rigid anodised alloy cone in the bass/mid driver is extremely rigid ensuring pure piston action and therefore able to accurately track the amplified signal without distortion. Their unique design also ensures that the limiting 'thermal compression' effects of temperature rise in the voice coil are eliminated.
Coupled with the use of audiophile quality UPOCC internal wiring in all 200 Series loudspeakers, these features culminate in providing exceptional clarity, transparency, dynamics and power handling.'
