The AE300² reviewed by U-Audio Taiwan

U-Audio have recently posted their review of the AE300²… what did they have to say? Read on for a couple of quotes or click here to read the full review.

“The speakers practically disappeared. Take the 2017 Kaohsiung Exhibition commemorative CD, for example. It features a selection of classical music from Steinway & Sons. Tracks 3 through 7 are all piano solos. The AE300MK2 delivers a wonderful sense of stage and atmosphere, effortlessly capturing the piano’s concrete form and distinct granularity. The sound doesn’t seem to emanate from the speakers, but rather from the front, creating a dense soundstage. Furthermore, even without cranking up the volume, there’s a good reverberation and lingering effect. The sustain after keystroke is long and natural, demonstrating that it effortlessly captures detail.”

“As befits an Acoustic Energy product, the AE300 MK2 continues to offer a versatile performance, perfectly suited to a wide range of music. It delivers detailed musical expression and rich emotional depth, making it suitable for both everyday music playback and serious listening. The build quality and design of the AE300 MK2 have also been improved over its predecessor, creating a more refined feel.”

“The new AE300 MK2 continues to widen the gap in price/performance compared to its competitors. However, I believe Acoustic Energy is competing not only with others but also with itself. The AE300 MK2 is essentially a new product from the ground up. While its exterior remains similar to its predecessor, it incorporates new technologies and design, rather than a superficial redesign. Crucially, the price remains attractive, if not sweeter.”
