HiFi Test (Germany) award the AE309² Product of the Year

German Magazine HiFi Test published their review of the new AE309² back in March and now they have awarded them a Product of the Year 2026 award. 

“The euphoria is back”

A few years ago, I had an encounter with a loudspeaker that I still haven’t forgotten. I had an Acoustic Energy AE1 Active ready for testing. The compact model cost €1,300 per pair in 2017 and simply blew me away. So much sound for the money, it was astonishing. Today, it costs – a brief pause  for suspense – €1,300 in white and black, and €1,500 in walnut. That’s truly remarkable. And I’m personally pleased that this loudspeaker still exists. My subsequent experiences with Acoustic Energy, most recently with the flagship Corinium, have always been extremely positive, though never as euphoric as with the Active AE1.

The Acoustic Energy AE309² is nothing short of a winner! It produces such wonderful music, leaves nothing to be desired, and can be played (sufficiently) loudly or quietly. Congratulations to the developers.”
